>> 1 cup unsalted butter
>> 1 cup creamy peanut butter (see notes below)
>> 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
>> 2 large eggs, at room temperature
>> 2 tsp vanilla extract
>> 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
>> 1 cup rolled oats
>> 1/4 cup pine powder, plus a little extra to sprinkle on top before baking (see notes below)
>> 1 tsp baking soda
>> 1/4 tsp baking powder
>> 1 tsp salt
>> 1 tsp arrowroot starch
>> 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, plus a few extra
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13″ baking pan with parchment paper; set aside.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan set over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Have the peanut butter in a medium sized bowl; then add the butter. (If you have a stand mixer this can be used or using a silicone spatula will do.) Stir until both are thoroughly blended.
Add the brown sugar and mix very well. Next, mix in the eggs and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, add the flour, pine, oats, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and arrowroot starch, and whisk to combine. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and mix until thoroughly combined. Use low speed if using a stand mixer.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour the dough into the prepared pan and smooth into an even layer. You may have to wet a clean spatula to smooth it properly. Sprinkle the top with some pine powder and a few chocolate chips. Lightly press down into the dough.
Bake until golden brown and the center is set, but has a very slight movement to it, about 30 to 35 minutes.
Allow to cool in the pan completely before cutting into squares.

Do not use organic or natural peanut butter as this will not turn out.
