>> 2 chunks chaga (about 1" by 1")
>> 4 to 6 turkey tails
>> 5 cups water
In a medium pot bring water to a boil, turn heat down to medium. Add in the chaga and turkey tails and let simmer for 30 to 60 minutes.
Strain. Sweeten with honey if desired.
Keep the chaga and turkey tails to use again the same way. This will make more tea, albeit weaker. Use for yourself, or for your houseplants. (Take 1 cup tea and dilute with 1 cup water for your houseplants.)
Refrigerate any leftover tea and use within 7 days. The tea can be consumed cold (iced) or re-heated. Add carbonated water or ginger ale to create a fun fizzy beverage.
Tips: During the simmering, toss in a little catnip or any garden mint to add a more desireable flavor.
